Uninhabited began with photographing shuttered storefronts as a reflection of my city’s shifting economic landscape. The work gave me a feeling of desolation and I moved to capture that emotion instead, the feeling that lingers when human presence fades. These images aim to conjure an unreal, imagined memory of what once was.
